저희 Daum에서는 스팸방지를위해 금융피라미드, 추천형식, 음란/불법 소프트웨어 복제판매 등과 같은 스팸메일을 발송한 사용자에 대해서는 이용중지 또는 아이디를 삭제하겠습니다.
또한 Daum은,
1) 이용자가 건전한 커뮤니케이션이나, 커뮤니티 활동을 위한 내용이 아닌, 스팸성 글을 작성 유포할 경우
2) 의도적인 목적으로 스팸을 살포하기 위한 자동 등록기, 아이디 생성기등을 이용할 경우
스팸발송자 게시자를 포함 제조업체에 대해서,수사기관에 고발하여 법적 심판(정보통신망법상 불법광고성메일전송혐의로 1년이하의 징역, 1천만원이하의 벌금, 혹은 형법상 업무방해혐의로 5년이하의 징역, 1천5백만원이하의 벌금)을 받도록 할 것이며, 민사상 손해배상청구소송을 통하여, Daum이 입은 모든 재산상, 정신상 손해의 배상을 청구함으로써 불법, 악성 스팸을 근절하고자 합니다.
1. Daum은 이용자 인증이 가능한 메일 서비스로 익명을 제공하지 않습니다.
한메일넷에서 메일을 보낼 때는 항상 등록시 기입한 이름이 함께 메일 헤더에 전달됩니다.
따라서 보낸이 이름이 없는 메시지의 경우는 한메일넷에 접속하여 보내진 것이 아닙니다.
또한 한메일넷은 모든 로그인 정보, IP 주소와 날짜, 시간을 저장합니다.
따라서 한메일넷을 사용하여서는 익명의 메일을 결코 보낼 수 없음을 알려드립니다.
2. Daum은 스팸메일을 반대합니다.
Daum 이용자들이 어떤 종류의 스팸메일도 받지 않도록 최대한 스팸메일에 대해 모니터링 및 차단정책을 강구해 나갈것입니다.
그리고 Daum 사용자가 스팸메일을 보내지 못하도록 엄격하게 운영되고 있습니다.
즉 폭탄메일 등을 전송할 경우 차단시스템이 자동으로 실행되어 전송이 불가능하도록 하였으며, 또한 스팸메일을 보내는 한메일넷 사용자는 사용중지 또는 ID가 삭제됩니다.
그리고 한메일넷을 Relay Server 로 지정하여 스팸메일을 보내는 것은 원천적으로 불가능합니다.
한메일넷에 접속하여 메일을 보내는 경우도 최대 10명까지만 가능하므로 한메일넷 시스템은 스팸메일을 보낼 수 없습니다.
만약 한메일넷을 Return Address 로 이용하여 스팸 메일을 보낸 사람 및 메일 서버에 대해서는 법적인 조치를 취할 것입니다.
3. Daum은 가입 시 다음과 같이 스팸방지를 위한 이용자 약관을 공지하였습니다.

제11조(이용자의 의무)
① 이용자는 다음 각 호의 행위를 하여서는 안됩니다.

5. 정크메일(junk mail), 스팸메일(spam mail), 행운의 편지(chain letters), 피라미드 조직에 가입할 것을 권유하는 메일, 외설 또는 폭력적인 메시지 ·화상·음성 등이 담긴 메일을 보내거나 기타 공서양속에 반하는 정보를 공개 또는게시하는 행위.
6. 관련 법령에 의하여 그 전송 또는 게시가 금지되는 정보(컴퓨터 프로그램 등)의 전송 또는 게시하는 행위
7. 다음의 직원이나 다음 서비스의 관리자를 가장하거나 사칭하여 또는 타인의 명의를 도용하여 글을 게시하거나 메일을 발송하는 행위
8. 컴퓨터 소프트웨어, 하드웨어, 전기통신 장비의 정상적인 가동을 방해, 파괴할 목적으로 고안된 소프트웨어 바이러스, 기타 다른 컴퓨터 코드, 파일, 프로그램을 포함하고 있는 자료를 게시하거나 전자우편으로 발송하는 행위
11. 불특정 다수의 자를 대상으로 하여 광고 또는 선전을 게시하거나 스팸메일을 전송하는 등의 방법으로 Daum의 서비스를 이용하여 영리목적의 활동을 하는 행위
② 제1항에 해당하는 행위를 한 이용자가 있을 경우 Daum은 본 약관 제6조 제2, 3항에서 정한 바에 따라 이용자의 회원자격을 적절한 방법으로 제한 및 정지, 상실시킬 수 있습니다.
③ 이용자는 그 귀책사유로 인하여 Daum이나 다른 이용자가 입은 손해를 배상할 책임이 있습니다.
4. 스팸방지를 위해 여러분의 도움이 필요합니다.
한메일넷을 통하여, 또는 한메일넷 사용자로부터 스팸메일을 받으신 분들은 받으신 스팸메일을
스팸센터 문의하기 에게로 회람(첨부파일로 전달)하여 주시기 바랍니다.
5. Daum은 다음과 같은 경우에 스팸으로 간주하고, 이용을 제한합니다.
1) 정보통신망이용촉진 및 정보보호등에관한법률의 규정 및 가이드를 준수하지 않은 메일 [

2) 수신자의 동의 없이 대량으로 발송되는 영리 목적의 메일
3) 성인사이트 및 불건전 음란 정보 메일
4) "대출안내", "행운의 편지" 등과 같은 불법 메일
5) 관리자 사칭 메일 또는 허위 사실 유포 메일
6) 개인정보 추출을 목적으로 한 피싱 메일 [

7) 확인할 수 없는 IP에서 대량으로 발송될 경우 메일 수신량을 제한
8) 스팸메일 신고수가 기준치를 초과하고, 객관적으로 스팸메일로 인정된 경우
1. Daum : Not an Anonymous Email Service.
At Daum, the registered Name are sent with each email.
Additionally, all logins, including IP numbers, dates and times are recorded and stored.
Therefore all source of a message can be traced.
2. Daum : No Spamming.
We don't want our users being the victims of junk email. We are equally intolerant of Hanmail.Net users sending junk email. Sending junk email from a Hanmail.Net account is cause for that account's termination.
3. Daum : Don't use Hanmail.Net as relay server and return address.
Hanmail.Net doesn't permit to use Hanmail.Net as relay server, so never try to.
Additionally, we don't want to get any returned mail using spam. We will do any legal treatment to those who use Hanmail.Net as their return address when they write spam mail.
4. The following is extracted from the Daum Terms of Service Agreement entered with each subscriber.

5. Getting Help for Spam.
If you receive any junk email please forward it with your comments to
spamcenter.
6. The following is regarded as spam.
1) Unsolicited Commercial e-mail sended in bulk without agrrement of receiver.
2) E-mail including sexual and unhealthy contents.
3) Junk e-mail such as "Loan advertising", "Chain Letters" and "Pyramid Schemes".
4) E-mail represented oneself falsely to be a supervisor
5) E-mail set afloat false statements.
6) "Fishing e-mail" for the purpose of stealing personal information.
7) E-mail sended in quantity from IP that we can't confirm.
8) E-mail reported in abundance to spam-mail and recognized to spam-mail objectively.
